Meet your cardiologist
Vishal Goyal, MD
Dr. Goyal is a board-certified cardiologist who has cared for patients in Santa Barbara for more than a decade. He founded Riviera Cardiology Concierge to give patients more time, clearer explanations, and a physician who understands their cardiovascular history and personal priorities.
His experience includes Medical Director positions at Cottage and prior leadership within Santa Barbara Cardiovascular Medical Group. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and was recognized as Teacher of the Year by the Santa Barbara Cottage Internal Medicine Residency.
Dr. Goyal was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, graduated from medical school with distinction in community service, and served as Chief Fellow during his cardiovascular fellowship.

For patients seeking a focused second opinion, an annual cardiovascular review, or a deeper discussion of test results and treatment options, a standalone consultation may be available.
A discrete service with a clear scope.
The consultation does not include ongoing access, urgent care, longitudinal management, hospital support, or concierge membership.
Patients who enroll in membership within 60 days of the consultation may receive a $500 credit toward their first-year membership fee.

Do you accept insurance?
No. Riviera Cardiology Concierge is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance. Membership and practice fees are paid directly; outside testing and hospital charges are separate. See insurance details.
Can Medicare patients join?
Yes. Under the practice’s current arrangements, Medicare beneficiaries may join using a Medicare private contract. Medicare does not reimburse services provided under that contract. Read the Medicare FAQ.
What does membership include?
Premier includes direct physician communication, priority scheduling, cardiovascular planning, record and medication review, and care coordination. A scheduled annual review may take place at your home or residence when appropriate and within the local service area. See membership details.
Does this replace my primary care doctor?
No. Riviera Cardiology Concierge focuses on cardiovascular care. You should maintain your primary care relationship; Dr. Goyal can coordinate with your other treating clinicians when appropriate.
What should I do in an emergency?
Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. The practice, home reviews, and this inquiry form do not replace emergency services.
Can I schedule a consultation without joining?
Yes. A standalone cardiovascular consultation may be available for $1,000. It is a discrete service and does not include ongoing access or membership. Explore the consultation.
